Not all advertisers offer you PPC some offer you a commission based on every lead you generate or on every sale. These advertisers normally offer higher payouts as sales are not always easy to generate.

So the concept is simply to put adverts on your website you normally sign up with the affiliate. Then cut and paste some code from their site into your site. Once a visitor clicks the link on your site they are tracked and if they make enquiries or purchase something deepening on the affiliate you get paid. If you use PPC all you need is lots of traffic and you get paid per click.
